Linda Hadfield, 1999Reason for highlighting
The cathedral’s distinctive lantern originally had glass by John Hayward. However, problems with the mid-1960s concrete structure of the lantern tower caused it to be rebuilt in stone in 1999, with complementary new glass by Linda Hadfield. Inspired by the Water of Baptism and the Fire of the Holy Spirit she has created a stunning design.
