Reason for highlighting

The chancel east window has a beautiful collection of Swiss and German glass from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, collected by the nineteenth century incumbent Revd. William Henry Turner (rector 1835–1875). The glass originates from St. Gallen, Wettingen, Lucerne and Cologne, and the glass painting skills are fabulous.

Other comments

This is a charming rural church in a beautiful rural location. There is fine glass from a number of different periods which is easily viewed. Particular notable is the north chapel east window, which has a very fine Arts and Crafts design by A K Nicholson (1931) depicting St. George.

There is an excellent pub across the road!
