The church has a rich stained glass heritage and, in addition to the above, there are major schemes by Victorian artists throughout the church, including further work by Joseph Bell of Bristol, numerous windows by Clayton & Bell, a colourful west window to the south aisle by Heaton, Butler & Bayne (1867), and a fine west window by Hardman & Co. (1868). Modern glass by Harry Stammers was added to the Lady Chapel in the 1960s.
This great church, a masterpiece of medieval architecture in the heart of the city of Bristol, is well worth a visit. It is locally celebrated and loved, but nationally a relatively less appreciated church.
