A complete set of images of the twelve apostles, some retaining their original medieval leading. They perfectly represent that moment in early-14th century glass which comes close to perfection. Each figure has that lovely S-curve pose  – the contrapposto so characteristic of the moment – and the glass is technically advanced in that it is one of the earliest examples of the use of silver stain in Britain. A rare and inspiring glimpse into the soul of another age.
