Thomas John Colwyn Morris (1920-2011) served under General Montgomery during World War Two before training at Swansea School of Art in the late 1940s. He subsequently moved to London to work for James Powell & Sons, where he became the Chief Cartoonist, working extensively with their Chief Designer, E Liddall Armitage. After Powells closed in 1973 he returned to Wales teaching for a time in the stained glass department at Swansea, collaborating with Tim Lewis, and designing his own windows.
