The firms of Percy Bacon & Brothers (1892-1917) and Percy Bacon Limited (1917-1932) were founded by the stained glass artist and sculptor, Percy Charles Haydon Bacon (1860-1935), and supplied stained glass windows and some church furnishings to churches both in the UK and overseas. Little is known of Percy Bacon’s training and early career, although it is known he spent time on the continent studying art in Munich, Milan, Venice and Paris. In the years immediately preceding the establishment of his own studio he is credited with work for Powells.

The firms windows are sometimes signed with their London address, or marked with a shield, or a triangle containing three bees. The latter acknowledged his brothers, Archibald Arthur Bacon (1865-1943) and Herbert Joseph Bacon (1858-1928), although the extent of their involvement is unclear. As with other studios Percy Bacon would sometimes make windows to the designs of others, especially George Fellows-Prynne.
