Ethel Rhind (1877-1952) was a mosaic and stained glass artist. She was born in India to Scottish/Irish parents and moved to Dublin in 1902 to take up a scholarship to study mosaic at the Metropolitan School of Art. While at the School she also studied stained glass under the instruction of A E Child, whose Arts & Crafts influenced aesthetic would be especially noticeable in her early work. In 1906 she joined the Dublin studio of An Túr Gloine, where she stayed until retiring in 1939. Ethel Rhind is also especially noted for her opus sectile mosaic.
