James Egan (1847-1918) was a stained glass designer and decorative artist born in Cheapside, London. He worked as a glass painter for Morris & Co. before leaving in the early 1880s to set up a short-lived partnership with Frederick Fletcher. He continued to work for Morris & Co. for some years.
