Jennifer-Jane Bayliss AMGP (b.1949) was born in Reading, however she has lived and worked almost all of her adult life in Scotland. After a local evening class, she studied at the Architectural Stained Glass Department of West Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education (now the University of Wales Trinity St David) in Swansea.

She attended Master Classes with internationally renowned stained glass artists Paul San Casciani, Jochem Poensgen, Joachim Klos, Johannes Schreiter and Patrick Reyntiens OBE. She opened the purpose-built Abbey Studio, near Aberdeen, in 1985 and since then has produced a steady stream of high-quality restoration and new commissions in stained glass.
