Isobel Lilian Gloag (1865-1917) was born in London to Scottish parents. Early studies at St John’s Wood Art School and the Slade School of Fine Art. After further study in London and Paris, she established herself as a fine artist, illustrator and designer of stained glass windows. She suffered from ill health throughout her life and died at the age of 51.
