Johannes Schreiter (b.1930) had won numerous prizes for work in painting and engraving and had established a reputation as a major graphic artist before designing glass for architecture. Since when his powerfully graphic abstract forms, combined with pioneering techniques have contributed to opening up a new world of possibilities for all stained glass artists.
